The Team
Each member had a hand in every step of the process, from research, to ideation, to CAD Modeling.

Brand Analysis
We examined OXO's design choices to build out a visual brand language of their products. We looked for patterns in their materials, colors, touch points and curves.

Gaps in Product Offerings
OXO's camp line currently includes a number of camp stove related products, such as spatulas, pans, brushes and scrapers. However, they do not currently offer the grill itself so our team found an opportunity for expansion.

Design Objectives

Interface simplicity

Material honesty
Clean form factors

Group Sketching
By sketching together the team was able to ideate quickly and collaborate on everything from overall form factors to intricate details.

CAD Modeling
Each member of the team modeled an iteration of the main body of the stove, focusing on minor changes to form details. We then voted on a final base design to use as a platform for designing the rest of the parts, such as the grate, burner, button and cover.

Rapid Prototyping

Ergonomic testing
Grill-top fitment
